Counselling

The aim of counselling is to provide assistance and support to a person with a view to enabling that individual to better manage life’s problems. It provides the opportunity for a client, in total confidence, to talk through problems and emotions with an experienced practitioner who, in turn, will listen attentively and offer such advice as might be deemed suitable to assist the client in dealing with distress or difficulties.
Counselling can help, inter alia, in dealing with: depression, anxiety, relationship issues, stress, bereavement, anger, panic attacks, OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) and eating disorders.

EFT

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is a therapy which helps clear negative thoughts and emotions. The theory behind it is that negative thoughts and unpleasant memories trigger a disruption in the body’s electromagnetic energy system. In turn, the body interprets such disruption as a negative emotion. EFT targets the intervening step, aiming to correct the energy imbalance by removing the emotional charge from the original thought or memory.

EFT can be likened to a psychological form of acupuncture, without the needles. The Practitioner taps the facial and bodily meridian points, whilst the patient remains seated and focussed on the problem. The progressive tapping gently releases the negative energy. It is quick, effective, gentle, long-lasting and has no side effects.

EFT has successfully helped with Post Traumatic Stress, fears, phobias, anxieties and panic attacks, grief and bereavement, anger and guilt, addictions and public speaking.

Homeopathy

Homeopathy is a complete system of medicine which works on the principle that a disease can be cured by a medication which, when given to healthy people, produces similar symptoms to the disease in question.

It can help people suffering from all kinds of illness, physical or emotional, a small sample including: depression, eczema, arthritis, migraine, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, menstrual and menopausal problems. It is also very effective in the treatment of illnesses associated with modern living, such as post-viral syndrome (ME), anxiety and depression and stress-related conditions. Homeopathy not only provides relief from symptoms, it helps patients deal with the causes of illness and regain good health. It acts deeply, but gently, and is an ideal treatment for all age groups.

Hypnotherapy

There are two types of Hypnotherapy:

Suggestion Therapy - This is a light relaxing state of hypnosis which heightens suggestions and visualisations to help the Client deal with symptoms and effects, but not the root cause of problems. Suggestion Therapy is effective in dealing with stopping smoking, losing weight, nail biting, examination nerves and many other problems.

Analytical Hypnotherapy (Hypno-Analysis) - Hypno-analysis is an aid to assessment of the root causes of problems. It is useful in dealing with depression, panic attacks, anxiety and self-esteem.

Hypnotherapy is well known for its success in helping people to stop smoking or lose weight, but it can also be used effectively when dealing with panic attacks, anxiety, phobias, depression, low self-esteem, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Irritable Bowel Syndrome and even some children’s problems.

It is a drug free treatment which uses a light form of hypnosis to assist a client to feel calm and relaxed, hence more receptive to positive suggestions.

Indian Head Massage

Indian Head Massage is a treatment based upon Ayurvedic techniques, involving work on the upper back, shoulders, neck, scalp and face. Various massage techniques are used to relieve accumulated tension and stimulate circulation.
Indian Head Massage can help to reduce fatigue, improve relaxation and sleep, release neck and shoulder tension, relieve headaches and eyestrain, increase oxygen flow to the brain, aiding clearness of thought and concentration

Massage

Massage is a form of soft tissue manipulation and is one of the most natural ways to de-stress. With the increasing pressures of modern living making relentless demands on the body, massage has the potential to reduce strain and alleviate pain.
Sports Massage involves deep work on muscles and, along with specialised stretching techniques, can rebalance them to improve flexibility.
Deep Tissue Massage
focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue and is used to release chronic tension which, in turn, can help improve joint movement and restore damaged ligaments and tendons.
Therapeutic Holistic Massage
treats the whole person and is useful when treating stress and stress related conditions.
Lymphatic Drainage Massage
stimulates the body’s lymphatic system, encouraging the removal of waste, toxins and excess fluid.

Medical Herbalism

Used mainly in conjunction with allergy testing
Our Practitioner specialises in digestive and bowel disorders, plus food related problems. Diets are created which can assist patients with weight problems, anorexia, bulimia, migraines, headaches, stress, arthritis and supportive treatment for cancer sufferers. Herbs, vitamins and minerals can be recommended when considered beneficial.

Naturopathy

Naturopathy literally means ‘Nature Care’ and the Naturopath will attempt to offer an individually tailored treatment programme using the most natural means possible to make a patient feel well again.
Herbal Medicine uses flower essences, diet and lifestyle changes to correct any imbalances revealed by iris diagnosis, where the organs and systems of the body are mapped out in the iris of the eye. Patients are not treated on a symptomatic level, so changes are long-lasting, with the aim of preventing re-occurrence.

Osteopathy

Osteopathy combines a scientific knowledge of orthodox medical sciences with specialised methods of evaluation and manual treatment. It is a skilled and gentle therapy, involving techniques of soft tissue massage and joint manipulation.
Osteopathy can be effective in treating headaches, jaw pain, whiplash injuries, neck pain, brachial neuritis, frozen shoulder, shoulder blade pain, rib/chest pain, postural conditions, disc problems, lower back pain, pelvis/Sacro-iliac joint conditions, pregnancy pains, hand/wrist pain, groin pain, hip pain, osteoarthritis, knee problems, sports injuries and other problems of the leg, ankle and foot, pregnancy care, disturbances in infants from traumatic birthing and infant colic.

Reflexology

Reflexology works on the principle that there are reflex points in the feet that relate to every organ, gland and area of the body. Reflexologists use thumb and finger pressure to stimulate these points, which will have a corresponding balancing and revitalising effect on the area being treated. Reflexology is an holistic approach, treating the whole person, rather than specific symptoms.
Reflexology has many beneficial effects, including improvement in blood circulation and nerve function, elimination of toxins and relief of stress and tension. It stimulates the natural healing process and assists the body to achieve a balanced state of working. It is one of the most successful methods of treating stress and can assist with many conditions, including headaches, neck and back problems, digestive disorders, fluid retention, hormonal imbalances and many others.

Reiki

Reiki is an ancient, powerful form of healing which can gently and effectively alleviate a wide range of conditions, both physical and emotional. The hands of the Practitioner are the conduit for Reiki energy to flow to wherever it is most needed; it will naturally be drawn to any imbalances.
Reiki is a powerful healing therapy which offers increased energy, improved self-confidence, increased resistance to illness and a counter to depression

Shiatsu

Shiatsu is an ancient Japanese healing therapy which follows similar principles to Acupuncture by working on a system of energy channels, or meridians, using carefully applied pressure and gentle stretching techniques to stimulate and rebalance energy.
Shiatsu can be a helpful therapy when dealing with stress, insomnia, migraine, fatigue and many other conditions.
